What size tent do I need?

This really depends on the type of party you are having. Typically a graduation party with 50-75 guests expected could get by with a 20×30 tent since not all guests arrive at once and will not all be seated at the same time.

A wedding on the other hand might have a sit down dinner with all guests seated at the same time. A 20×30 tent has room for 6 60” round banquet tables. Eight people can be seated comfortably around these tables, nine can fit in a pinch. So, you can seat 48-56 people in a 20×30 tent.

Do I have to set it up myself?

No, all A Tent Event tents are delivered and set up by trained staff. We do not set the tables and chairs up. We place them under the tent and you will have to set them up. Upon pick up, the tables and chairs should be stacked and wiped down per contract, otherwise, there will be a $75 surcharge for cleaning.

Will a tent fit in my yard?

You can get a rough idea by adding 6 feet to the length and width of the tent size and pacing off the area you want to place the tent. If you are looking for a 20×30 tent for example then you need a level space at least 26×36 for installation. The extra space allows room for staking. This means you need a level area about 8 paces by 13 paces or so (assuming a 3 foot stride). Take note of overhead obstructions (trees, powerlines, etc.) If in doubt contact A Tent Event and we’ll come out and check it out for you.

Does A Tent Event also rent jump castles or water slides?

We do not currently rent jump castles or water slides. We do encourage you to visit our friends at Palmetto Jump Fun, also located in Charleston, SC, if you are interested in renting jump castles or water slides.

What if it Rains?

Well, that’s why you got a tent, right?

When will you set it up?

We’ll work with you to set up the tent when you want it there to allow time for decorating, etc.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and Visa and MasterCard Credit Cards.
